Chapter 50 - The Ten-Cut
I came back the next day, from a downpour of rain outside that cooled my mind down. It felt like I put obstacles in front of myself just to trip over them, but this was at an end. If anything, I wanted Kara to be happy again. Maybe I could even reverse Tarne growing up inside Garr. Kara and Lila could head off into the other worlds with child Tarne, living on the run from the Rahin. I would be a decoy in that scenario, allowing the destruction of this space, which I knew was coming anyways. Waiting to die was a truly depressing way to live. Even after I promised Rebecca I would seek happiness. Part of me never trusted her, or rather the Rebecca on the computer screen who told me she went to talk to Alexander Virtu.
It did not matter. Lila’s and Kara’s happiness was paramount. I appeared in the library out of a puff of smoke to find it empty. My antics were wasted. I walked up the stairs to see if Kara and Lila were still at Tarne’s bedside. When I reached the top step, the door to the bathroom opened. Kara stepped out, fully naked and steaming post shower. Her eyes did not look my way, but I watched her hungrily as she walked down the corridor to the room at the end where naked Lila was tied to the bed at her hands and feet.
Kara climbed onto the bed, one leg up exposing her crotch. She had a slight magical gap going, with the labia visible at the upper register. I looked within as the feline beast pounced off her throne and made it through the door to the throne room before I could close it. Before I knew it, my clothes were off. My brawny female form rippled in the doorway, quivering in excitement. I felt my hand move on its own, cupping my hand through the magic gap, two fingers sliding over Kara’s magic gap much to her surprise and gasp. My fingers entered, dropping her to knees that almost hit Lila on the bed.
“Hey, Jack,” Lila said. “Wanna join us?”
“I’m sorry,” I said, pulling my fingers out at resistance to feline beast. Kara grabbed my wrist and I fully expected her to yank the hand out from between her thighs, but she held it inside while sitting down to press it against Lila’s midsection. They kissed, while I kept moving my fingers at the opening and inside of Kara. “It’s beast. Should I stop?”
“Don’t stop,” Kara said, grinding my hand up against Lila. “I’m almost there.” I remembered a moment from James’ encounter with Kara, and instinctively lowered to kiss the base of her spine. At the moment my lips touched that spot, Kara grunted, and arched back in climax. I felt a spurt of moisture over my hand, now sandwiched between them, as the weight of the woman held me between them in an awkward position.
“Now me,” Lila said. I reached my other hand around, and slipped under the weight of all three of us to find the pool of wetness that was Lila’s triskele vagina. I turned my hand into a curved penis thicker than standard, and pushed it inside the opening. Lila gasped at the stretch inside her. “That’s thick.”
“Too big?” I asked.
“No, please go deeper,” she said, while Kara was breathing warm on her chest still reeling from the explosion of pleasure. I pushed my now boneless hand inside her, thickening it to an erection inside the enclosure. I could still feel around using it, much like fingers. When I reached the bone gap, I could feel the bumps that would cut my hand off if Lila reached the point. It was the pressure of callous-like bumps on raised parts of bone. It had to hurt to close this spot hard enough to rip off someone’s penis. When my hand-penis passed through the opening, Lila breathed a sigh of relief.
“Are you ok?” I asked.
“Yeah, sorry,” she replied. “I wasn’t sure that thick of a thing could go through the elyx. I felt the stretch of my joints as you passed through.” I pulled by hand back, making her gasp again.
“Does it feel good?”
“It feels… new,” Lila said. I pushed my hand through again. “Ok, yes. It feels good.”
“Good,” I said, and increased the speed of passing the thick of the hand penis through the elyx and pulling it back through. Much like my reality’s anatomy, the head was a little anchor, which was causing this reaction. Others would not even come close to this sort of feeling, so I had to let her experience it while it was possible.
I moved through the bumpy bone space with my hand erection as Lila’s mouth opened and closed in shock and awe. When I sped up, her mouth remained open until she moaned-gasped loudly and jerked backward, but the restraints prevented her from creating enough of a fold to cut the wrist inside her. I felt crushing pressure, as the bumps rose around my hand. Lila breathed out a deep sigh, mouth curving to a smile with tears in her eyes.
“That… took my breath away,” she said.
“Hey, what about me?” Kara asked, resting her head on Lila’s chest.
“Different sort,” Lila said. “You take my breath away every day, Kay.”
“I can still feel that thing inside you,” Kara said. I changed the shape of the head back into a hand, and pushed at the skin of Lila’s stomach from the inside to freak Kara out. “Whoa. That’s creepy.”
“It is, isn’t it?” I asked, withdrawing my hand-penis from inside Lila’s triangular vagina. “I’m a bit curious how you guys will get along when you leave this place. I bet there will be a lot of oral action going on.”
“Or I could wear strap-ons from her world,” Kara said. “Lils tells me they are really stretchy so they don’t break when she reaches the point.”
“That’s awesome,” I said. “Well, this didn’t turn out the way I expected it, but I’m glad I was here for it.” I slipped my other hand out from between them, and considered licking it for a moment, but did not. Feline beast was on her throne, bathing herself, or was that licking her own vagina? I could not tell as she was facing away. I said nothing else as I sank into the mattress, and vanished from there.

I did not come back over the weekend, or the Monday of yesterday. On Tuesday, the morning was too perfect. There was a cloudy rain mist hovering over the cooled city. The buildings in the distance felt erased into water, dissolved to the sky. It felt too perfect for me. I equated the weather to Ireland, which I once visited. The cliff-side in a storm sprayed an equally beautiful mist. I wanted to go back there.
This weather felt like a sign, a pat on the back from my reality that today was the day for it. The reset of the arbitration, to a time before Akier knew who he was. Following this, Tarne would have to leave the untethered space to eliminate the risk of him gaining his mind back. Nobody knew how many void amalgams he had in the untethered space, still hovering in the dark. The Rahin would have to sweep the area and break them up into void leeches again. Where my bubble was a tumor in the untethered space, the amalgams were blood clots. The whole place functioned together with all realities, dimensions, and the ivy at the end of it all, or the memory bank for it all.
I stepped into the library, appearing out of thin air. Tarne sat on the couch, scalp glowing purple beneath the skin, slightly subdued by the mind-numbing. Her dark blond hair looked light blond with the light, but also magenta at the roots. I half expected Akier to tell me more about how I destroy things, but Tarne just stared at me quietly.
“Hey,” I said. She said nothing. I came up closer, realizing there was something in her hand. She had it clasped tightly, barely visible through the fingers. I knew what it was, but that made no sense. “What— that’s Kara’s, isn’t it?”
“Yeah,” Tarne said. “She… let me borrow it.” I glanced around.
“Where is Kara?” I asked.
“Oh, that’s of no concern, Jack,” she said. “Definitely don’t look for her in the bathtub with her throat cut. Also, don’t look for Lila impaled through her eye socket in the bedroom. It’s very unlikely you will find them there.” I felt a shiver run over my back. Did Akier somehow counteract the mind-numbing of the Queen of White Thorn bramble? I sent out a pulse of healing from my location. Tarne jumped up from the couch and caught the veil of healing that should have been invisible to her.
“Oh, no, no, no,” she said. “Healing won’t do for dead things. Now, Jack. You have to tell me something. I’m DYING to know.” Her mouth curved into a wicked smile. Tarne brought the keir up to show it off, then moved it into her palm. I watched as the piece of magic metal compressed in his fist, letting out a cry of metal. As Tarne’s hand compacted the metal, the mechanisms keeping it small burst forth with hidden compartments of machine parts all weaker than the hand doing the crushing. I watched the death of Kara’s keir in awe and sadness, getting angrier by the second.
“I’ll kill you,” I said.
“Oh! Woo-hoo!” Tarne said, and rolled her eyes, as the corpse of exploded metal fell to the library floor. The expanded machinery piled up around Akier, but he just gave it a kick to explode out of the library in the direction of the windows and into the darkness beyond the library house. “Big words. Be sure to follow through. I know your idea. You want to go back in time, reset me to the girl you wanted to be and so became THANKS TO ME!”
I recoiled at his unstable tone. In a way, he did allow me to become myself, even if it was in this remnant of a mistake I once made. This was enough for me to part ways with my dream existence. I once more put my happiness before others, and this was the result. I had to call on Fyntn, but do it in a way that did not raise suspicion. I tried to distract him while writing a message behind my back.
“What are you dying to know?” I asked.
“OH, yes!” Tarne said. “I WAS going to ask you something, wasn’t I? Sorry, I’m so very high right now. I do feel quite elated when destroying things, you see. Ah! I remember. Do you know who it was that actually killed me? Who do you think finally did me in? Come on, it’s related to you. Why do you think I came here? It wasn’t on a whim of wanting to be a girl like you. Though I do have to say, shoving things inside myself that feel good is very convenient. It’s even better if you shove something inside that hurts you.” I tried to think of who could possibly take him down. It was not Kara, or James. Their son did something else.
“Hint, it rhymes with TriBeCa,” Tarne said, as a deep shiver ran over my whole body. “Ah, there. You finally got it. I’m here for revenge.” Rebecca. She took care of him. She beat this monster only for him to find his way back. I could not let him get out of here. The message to Fyntn had to have reached him. I saw a portal open behind Tarne, and glanced at it stupidly under his gaze. When Fyntn jumped out with his claws, Akier caught him by the neck, and snapped it clean off. I watched Fyntn’s severed body fall to the floor, but looked up to the head.
“You think that’ll stop me?” Akier asked. “A pathetic breed of cowards.” Fyntn’s eyes shifted to me, then to the body at Tarne’s feet. I saw the number ten appear in one of his eyes before his eyes exploded in molten gold all over Tarne. It solidified almost instantly, but I had to act fast. Akier would get himself out of it in seconds. I hovered Fyntn’s body over to me and rested my hand on it while removing ten claws from his fingers, ears, and the two on the tail. They conveniently fit on the ends of my fingers, with two bigger ones from the tail on the thumbs. I had to trust him.
As I wound up for a two-hand slash of the air, the golden statue of Tarne exploded, throwing pulverized gold glitter into the air like a cloud of a shimmering haze. I saw him disoriented as the claws came down from the highest I could reach, to the floor and beyond it. The severed slits in the air cast a bright white light in the area. I saw Akier lunge at me before the light overtook us. When I could see again, I was standing above the scene frozen in time. Before me was a console with many buttons and dials. While I needed to wind time back, my reality came calling first. Work was starting. I weighed the importance of both items, and hoped the time freeze held up for the time I would be away. I had to come back at lunch to finish this.

I rushed back as soon as the clock arrived at noon. I dreaded arriving to find that I missed my chance to fix things because I let my reality dominate the extension of reality core into the untethered space. When I came back into the library, I arrived at that same scene, frozen in time, with an above view of the scene as if it was a game of Sims. The ten cuts in the air where I stood in female form, shimmered white and silver. Tarne was just feet away, in the air following the lunge to stop whatever I was doing. The console of controls was big, with hundreds of different buttons, but somehow I knew what each one did.
I took hold of the joysticks, much like in a game, moving the above camera forward with the left and looking around with the right. I flew through the ten cuts to find only lights in the scene. They were much more than that. By cutting with ten claws, three from each hand, one from each ear, and two from the arrow tips of the long tail, it created a special portal that removed me from the body in the scene. I reached out with my right hand to a orb between the joysticks. It was golden, mounted on a vertical axis. It spun to the right and left. When I tried to move it to the right, it locked at a certain point. In the scene, I reached my hand into the ten cuts when time stopped.
When I spun the orb to the left, Tarne’s lunge rewound, as the ten-cut reeled back into the claws. I watched as the golden cloud of glitter reformed back into a solid mass of golden statue. Fyntn’s severed body floated back over to Akier, where the gold melted and flung itself back into the severed head. The body jumped up to reconnect to the severed head, as Fyntn walked backward slowly into the portal made behind Tarne. I stopped the orb when the portal vanished from view.
“This might take some time,” I said to myself. I took hold of the joysticks to look for Kara and Lila, hoping what Tarne said was just ghoulish overkill.
I directed myself to the bathroom first, flipping a switch on the controls to omit nudity with a smoothing filter. The nipples and vagina would only show as smooth skin. I also adjusted the blood filter to reduce the gore that possibly ensued in the bathroom. I pushed the door open to find Kara in the bathtub. She was sitting naked holding her neck propped up against the wall on the ledge of the bathtub. I wound time back as Tarne walked in, absorbing blood from the floor that only existed a millisecond before it vanished onto her skin.
Kara’s face cycled through fear, sadness, and rage, before arriving at the absolute madness before the cut arrived to her throat. She stood in the bathtub, holding the curtain rail as a weapon. Tarne talked, but I did not want to hear anything Akier had to say. I turned off the blood filter once I was sure there was none, but Akier was already covered in blood. Kara was the second stop. I fumbled to turn off the blood again, accidentally hitting a switch that shifted them into opposite genders. While it was easy to smooth out a vagina, the penis that arrived for a brief second was still hanging off the crotch whilst blurred into a skin sack that it already was.
“Damn, Kara,” I said. “That’s a monster.” I clicked the button back to shift them to female bodies. I turned the blood filter back on, and watched Kara put the railing back onto the wall, while sitting back down into the water. Tarne stood at the door looking at her hand, which I was sure was bloodied up from Lila. When she moved again, her feet took her back down the stairs. The ten-cut was no longer in the scene. Tarne sat on the couch for a few minutes while I wondered why she was not going to Lila’s room like Akier said.
It took a few more minutes for me to realize something. Tarne was looking right at me. I moved to a different corner of the library altogether, just to see Akier look up in a stretch and look directly toward me. I wound the orb backward, but Tarne just sat there, on the couch, looking directly at me. Did his lunge actually make it in? Was Tarne somehow aware of what I was doing? I turned off the blood filter. Tarne was still covered in blood. Her hands moved to take her shorts off to reveal deep cuts all over her body, soaking into the clothing.
Without my interaction, the nudity filter unclicked as her nipples appeared again, perked with excitement. Next, her pants and underwear came off to reveal more cuts in her skin. I tried to wind the orb again backwards, or forwards. Nothing was working. Tarne stood in the scene, naked and bleeding onto the wooden floor. The orb was not spinning, but time was not frozen. I did not know what to do.
“Let go,” Tarne said. “Be like me. Let yourself go.” I moved around, trying my best to keep my distance to the bleeding naked Tarne. Her hands gathered up blood from the gashes and flung it in my direction. A droplet landed on whatever barrier there was between the scene and me. It looked rounded. Was—- was time resetting not an exact fix in the untethered space?
Tarne jumped after me now that I was marked, finally catching the beach ball sized orb that I was. She put the ball up against the desk and pressed her naked bleeding body over the barrier. I stared in horror, as the mess of flesh and blood mopped the surface until I could not take it anymore. I slammed a hand down onto the orb to reset the time back to when I cut the opening with ten claws. There I was, reaching my hand into the white light, while Tarne lunged into the air to stop me.
“Let yourself go,” I heard the whisper follow me. “There is nothing to fear. You’re like me. You just want to destroy things. I get it.” I tried to block it out, but it intensified in the milliseconds that Tarne traveled through the air.
“Was Jorana just another thing to destroy?” I asked. The name was from the story Kara once told me about the old man of hers. He used to travel with Akier once, and a woman that taught them, a woman that saved them both from the harsh realities of their worlds. To me, the name was of Barnaby’s departed wife, another story entirely. I sat at the console again, in frozen time.
“YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HER!” A shout exploded in my mind. “YOU CAN’T USE HER AGAINST ME! YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING!”
“I know she died for you,” I said. Silence. “I know she saved your life.”
“SHE SAVED— nothing…” Akier said. “I killed her, like I killed my daughter.”
I said nothing. Anything else threatened his revelation.
“I wanted to kill a Rahin, I was ready,” he said. “I used my technology to wade out into the void, an appetizing snack of chaos beyond the keir tunnels. I was ready for it. I had the technology for it. HE SOLD ME OUT! HE BLABBED TO HER ABOUT IT!”
“And she came to save you,” I said.
“She came to die!” Akier shouted. “I was ready. I wanted to kill a Rahin. I wanted to free the world to exist in chaos that it’s supposed to. The worlds were screaming at me with order, with balance. I— I couldn’t stand it. It made me sick. I couldn’t understand WHY people wanted to live like that!”
“People seek a tether to link them to others,” I replied. “It can still be chaotic when it’s tethered, it can be a knot on a knot of life.”
“THAT’S NOT CHAOS!” Akier exploded. “And she… didn’t save anyone. The Rahin swallowed me, ground me through those teeth. When I was good and broken, she pulled me back into the world I knew was broken, a system that I knew was corrupt, and a false sense of safety in order upon everyone’s minds. And what of her? She was the snack for the monster in the endless void, dazzling like gems in mockery of what once was. It is disgusting!”
I remained on the frozen moment of the ten-cut with no progress, but Tarne moved no closer to the white light. What the voice was, I had no idea. I sure hoped he would not be stuck in my head now like Finnelgamin once was. I had to leave. My hour was up. I had a feeling I would regret it later.
