Chapter 20
Fiona was still around, but rather than meet with her I brought out some pictures I took of her glorious nudity on my archaic smartphone. I felt the imitated penis harden, but after a few minutes of pumping and stroking, I was getting nowhere. If I was no longer human why would Doc make such a detailed human body for me?
“Can’t get off to my naked pics?” Fiona asked from behind me. I turned to her before realizing that she was naked. She guided my erection into herself without another word. “Bite my skin open, and I’ll bite yours, then we suck to get off. It’s like a forced release.” Her teeth broke my skin as pleasure flooded my system. In a way, this felt like sex, but was nowhere close. I missed the sweat, dirt, her scent, and all the things a human enjoyed being exposed to.
When we were done, I pulled out the useless piece of flesh from within her human skin. She still had the same smell, but it didn’t impact my nose or brain the same. I ventured below to taste-test the candy gel imitation from inside her which once created life. I sucked it out and kissed Fiona to share this new taste of caramel. I no longer felt weird thinking of it being in my mouth.
“You know what I miss the most about being human?” I asked Fiona, as we lay naked on some couch in the lab.
“What?” she asked.
“When I was young and puberty was kicking my ass,” I paused to make sure she knew what puberty was. “I could always pop open a nudie mag and let a bit of pressure off with a selfie, but being a Zaxi seems to require two for this.” She smiled.
“Well, not always,” Fiona said. “Don’t spread it around, but Agi taught me how to release your own energy back into oneself. It’s like masturbation, in human terms, and it’s funny that it’s only pleasurable while occupying a human skin. Here, I’ll show you.” She took her own thumb and bit into the flesh to burst some purple light. Next, her mouth touched down on the forearm of the other hand to create a puncture. When the open thumb entered the other wound, she moaned softly. The pulses of energy excited me to vibrate at the same time. Instinctively, I brought a few fingers of my right hand between her legs to stimulate her skin. It built up until I felt her tightening against my fingers.
“I’ll do it too,” I whispered into her ear. The resonance between our skins was shifting our energy. I bit my own wrist and stabbed a finger into my chest. When the glowing wrist connected to the hole in my chest, I felt the build up to a release of my own creation. It was directly proportional to how much I moved inside her body and my own resonance of energy inside the encasement of my skin. I was feeding the exchange with myself, but I also wanted to share this with her. I bit the other hand and used it to pierce her thigh, then thrust it inside her skin. There was something wrong, but I couldn’t be bothered by it in this eternal loop of ecstasy that sex could never be. In the end, we both released at once, dazzling the room in white light.
I woke up to my body covered in ash. The corner of the lab was incinerated due to our simultaneous star-fueled orgasm. I was ok, so Fiona had to be as well. She stood naked in front of a charred picture on the wall as if she’d been looking out of the window. Her skin was covered in ash like mine, shrouding her in perfect body paint.
“Guess we’re explosive,” I said, standing up from the charcoal remnant of the couch. “This reminds me of that one time we had sex before all this happened. You were looking out the window at that time, naked and lost in thought.”
“I remember,” she said. “You loved me even without knowing anything. I might have caused all of this because I was homesick.”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“I called my parental cluster,” she said. “That night. Remember? I tried to eat your memory of it, but it was a memory of me. I was homesick so I reached out, cast my beautiful light to them, and so got us into that running mess. It was all my fault.” Tears ran down her cheeks, cleaning the soot off on the way down, but I wiped them away and hugged her.
“I don’t blame you for any of it,” I replied. Fiona’s hair was pumped full of ash, but the strands did not burn. Were these bodies indestructible? I smiled. My testicles created candy and my body was explosion-proof. I was definitely no longer human. “Don’t get bogged down by the past, alright?” She nodded against my shoulder.
“If we do another mutual masturbation,” she said. “Don’t connect us together between the loops. It’s lucky that Doc sealed us inside before we took out the whole city. The energy just loops between us and explodes, so it’s close to a few nuclear bombs going off at once. Not good for humanity.”
“Got it,” I said. “Thanks for teaching me that Zaxi beings can get freaky by themselves, too. Now I get to use those pictures of you I still have.”
“I doubt it,” Fiona replied. “Your phone was in your pocket, right?” Right. The whole place went up in flames and so did that old piece of technology.
“Oh, well,” I said.
“You know you could have just asked me to pose naked for you rather than sneak some when I was asleep,” she said. “Wearing clothes is such a chore anyway. Why don’t all humans walk around naked? It feels so good.”
“I think it was more about the secret that I had the pictures that excited me,” I said. “Not the nudity itself.”
“Hmm, a secret,” Fiona mused. “I still have a few of those.” She smiled that one mischievous smile of hers. It looked especially great covered in ash.
“I should probably go practice containment,” I said, as we slow-danced in the blackness of the spot of the lab. “Don’t want to be outdone by my son. Some of my humanity remains intact.”
“I’m glad that it does,” Fiona said and kissed me. It was ever sweet with a touch of bitter ash on our lips. “Oh, right. Did Doc tell you about Ernie and Agi?”
“Yeah, unfortunate what happened,” I replied. “But that type of experiment is dangerous. I really liked Ernie.”
“So you believed what Doc told you?” she asked.
“Why? Did he lie? Are they fine?”
“Well, no,” Fiona said, then took a small orb from what looked to be either her butt or vagina. It was a fair place to protect it. No matter how I told myself that she would never want to use the anal cavity for excitement, it felt like a fair place to use. Unlike her, I had a full digestive system set up to imitate a human being. “I still have the black hole they created. Maybe Agi’ll try to come out in the future.”
“What?” I asked in disbelief. “How did you contain- How did Doc contain a black hole?”
“Not exactly sure,” she replied. “But it’s a pretty small one, nothing like a full hive.”
“Hive? Hive of what?”
“Wait, you don’t know?” Fiona asked. “Ernie didn’t tell you? I guess nobody explained how black holes work to you.”
“Science tried to,” I countered. “Big funnel that consumes all matter and light. Is that not it?” Fiona sat down on the ashy ground with the black hole churning from within a marble inside her hand. It was mesmerizing, but a human eye would not be able to see it. I was glad to have Dawner’s Eyes. It allowed different views, even X-ray vision.
“Heh, well, humans understand by seeing,” she said, tossing the marble from hand to hand. It was scary, but would Doc really make it as fragile as it looked? “Where their eyes fail them, they fear and ask machines to describe things, but it’s always by their specifications. There are no such things as black holes, in all honesty. Those are just big swarms of dead Garavand, all swirling as hives. They churn and mince all matter that gets sucked in along with the light energy they absorb. In essence, this little black hole is part of Ernie, maybe dead, but maybe somehow just absorbed into his own dimension or something. I don’t know. One can hope. I do miss her. She’s been my friend since we were one.” Though it was a lot of information, my mind situated it accordingly without strain. I wasn’t a human that fainted and had heart attacks anymore.
“Do Zaxi have diseases?” I asked out of curiosity.
“All beings have illness,” Fiona replied. “Ours are just pretty wild and destructive. There is this one that makes you constantly release without a break. If you get that one, your life gets a quick expiration date by supernova, but you die in pleasure, if you can call that pleasure after a life of constant orgasms. Then again, too much releasing causes you pain, so I guess it’s a painful way to die. There are other ones, but they’re gross so let’s save them for later. For now, let’s get cleaned up. You have containment training and I should meet with my brother.”
“Oh, yeah,” I said, remembering she had one. “How is Luke?”
“Luke’s not his name,” she replied. “His full name is Nitul Kalimu Atlak Rifft Agerist. We only share one parent, but he’s my older brother by one enid. Zaxi breed in clusters. At least one female Zaxient is needed and none of them need to be male, but up to five are possible. As long as one female-energy Zaxi wants to have an offspring and gets at least one other Zaxi of either gender-energy involved, new life is possible. Anyway, Moni was not a Zaxi, and she’s been dead for many decades now.”
“Oh,” I said, thinking back to that fiery head of hair. “That’s sad. Did she at least have any children? She had such wonderful Irish genetic traits.”
“I think she died in an accident,” Fiona said. “Sadly, no children. Luke was a bit sad for a few years, but he got over it.”
“Yeah?” I asked. “Who’s taking care of him?” Fiona tilted her head in confusion.
“Oh! You mean the mental disability,” she said. “Yeah, that was just an error in the skin he chose. He insisted on having all the human organs and brain. It was his fault really, and then it was hilarious he had to keep wearing it when you were around. He’s actually a nice guy. I’ll ask him if he wants to come over sometime.”
“Huh,” I said, reviewing the moments where Luke made an impression that remained in my mind. It was a sharp few memories, but he wasn’t like that at all. How would he act now? “Cool.”
Fiona left the ashy space with the black hole marble no longer in her hands. I forgot to ask her which hole she used, but I didn’t feel anything when I was inside her, so it had to be the other one. It was sexy, but I was feeling floppy. For now I needed to do more practice of containment so that I could travel around in space like humans have sought to do for ages. I was free of squishy limits like low temperature, and the vacuum of space. It was exciting to think of what freedom the universe had to offer when I was ready.
The second time in the tank, I held my blobby form for minutes before I expanded. This was going to be a process. Over the weeks that Fil was away, Luke stopped by many times, always snobbish that Fiona was still bothering with me. He didn’t see me as one of them, even if I was now fully Zaxient. I watched Fiona hug our son while pulsating happiness into the containment lab with a smile on my face. I wasn’t sure how to act around him until he rushed to embrace me.
“I missed you, Dad,” Fil said. The heart in my human skin raced with bliss. Why was I worried? He was my son, and now we could be together as a family among the stars for millions of years. “Hey, check this out. I’m getting the hang of this containment thing.” He punctured his arm and shifted out of his human skin. His glow was a bit marbled, shifting between purple and blue, other than the white eyes. My contained form maxed at a few hours after the weeks of training, but I could not miss this moment. Fiona had a similar thought as she slipped out of her body.
“Here comes Dad,” I said and ventured out. We floated in the air of the lab and approached to create a hug-hover trio. “Now I just need to learn how to dim out so nobody sees me travelling in space.” On that cue, Fiona dimmed out to a vague purple light. It almost made her invisible, and she would not stand out in the darkness of space. The distant releasing stars were brighter than that.
“It’s extra pressure,” she said. “I’m not sure you boys are ready for this yet.”
“If we go unstable,” Fil said. “We can just jump into a tank. Come on, Mom. Show me how you do that.”
“Yeah, Mom,” I said and released a tiny bit of energy into her, meant as a kiss.
“Eww,” Fil said. “I saw that, Dad. Don’t PDA around me. It’s gross!”
“It’s perfectly natural,” Fiona said. “As for the dimming, you’d need to learn to consume yourself. Are you ready for that intimate challenge?” A wave of strange energy pulled from Fil. It was like cotton fluffs being thrown up to hide. It had to be embarrassment he was feeling. Filigare went back into his body and ran off.
“Did you mean-?” I started.
“The Zaxi self-release?” she completed. “Yeah. That’s the main use of my kind’s self-pleasure, but when out of the human skin, it’s not pleasurable as it is straining. Imagine trying to navigate in space while masturbating, but not being able to climax.”
“That sounds like torture,” I replied. “In human terms, at least. I’d still love to try it though.” I looked down at our bodies. If I was still human, this would feel like an out-of-body experience. I tried to laugh, but only pulsated the poking waves of energy.
“Alright,” Fiona said, focusing me back to her. “So you know when you released some energy into me just a few minutes ago? Do that, but into yourself. When you absorb it, think of inhaling only one part of the energy, light that is visible to humans.” She motioned to her arm, where a purple arc of flowing energy jumped on her starskin. As it flowed, her light dimmed over time. “The more you do, the further you dim.” She popped two more on the same arm. “But focus on creating one at first.”
I floated apart from her just in case the arc I made released into her. A tail sprung up from my back and wriggled in the air until I turned it, connecting it to my back again. Such a temptation built up inside me to just release the bundle of energy, but I held back while thinking of consuming the orange light. After a few minutes which felt like hours, I saw my light dim a small fraction. I jumped back into my body for fear of going supernova again. The built up excitement was still clearly visible due to my erection.
“Good,” Fiona said and hovered down. She stood up back in her body, shed her clothes, and knelt in front of me. “Let’s see what you taste like today.” Her open fingers pierced my chest as her mouth enclosed the penis with a soft warmth. I could not resist an early release. She stood up and kissed me in a bliss of strawberry flavor. We remained together after, enjoying the explosion of strawberry on our taste buds.
“I should go check on Fil,” Fiona said. “He’ll eventually have to do it, all Zaxi girls and boys have to survive out there in the cluster, but I should not push him to learn it yet.”
“How come his human skin is that of a young boy?” I asked. “Doc could have made him an older one, couldn’t he?”
“He has those, too,” she replied. “I think he wanted you to accept him as your child, our child. He just wants to belong, as any being does.” She left in search of our son.
“Well, you gonna put your floppy away, or keep going?” Doc asked from above. I looked up, but there was nothing there.
“Doc?” I asked. “Where are you?”
“Wonderful,” he said. “Thanks for testing it out. I finally bagged myself a Galtean.” He appeared out of nowhere while holding air. When he flipped the fabric, it was no longer fabric. There was green flesh on the inside, all bubbled and bouncy. Doc floated down on a blue triangle pad while folding the cloak of flesh.
“You skinned a Galtean?” I asked.
“Well, how else would I wear this skin?”
“That’s a bit evil.”
“A human term,” Doc countered. “The universe is quite evil if you think in those terms. Still, I prefer to be called a Mad Genius. This cloak can make me invisible even to a Zaxient. It’s worth one death of an elusive race. For all I know, there are millions more of them out in the universe, just hiding like I am now able to.”
“I think I liked you more when you were older,” I said. Doc smiled.
“You must mean when I was drunk,” he said. “I’ve been sober ever since I regenerated. Nothing but tar and sap for me. Those are water to me. The stickier, the better.” He was like a whole different person now. I wondered if he’d become his old self if he just drank some water.
“Doesn’t sap contain water?” I asked.
“Maybe so,” he replied. “But I dry it out anyway. It makes one hell of a sticky crunch, something like a block of honey to a human, if there is such a thing. Trust me, when you go out into the universe, you are sure to lose that morality and attain a whole new definition of evil. Once you’ve seen a Dralish army raid a planet, or the vampiric Tisyros make slaves of one, you would understand it better.”
“And become bitter like you?” I asked, shutting him up. He smirked and hovered on his little triangle.
“You’re still so human,” Doc said, while flying away. “It’s a chaotic little universe out there, Finnelgamin! Just try to understand it all!” I was alone in the containment tank area of the lab, but did not feel like practicing now. I needed to get away for a bit, and I had an idea of just where to go. The V-scapes.
